You need to know where you
are now…
In order to get to where you want to
be!
Research conducted by the American Society
for Training Development (ASTD), found that the most profitable
and successful organizations were, on average, doing twice
the training and assessment than businesses performing at
below average levels.
Internal Assets uses several assessment tools.
These tools will tell you a lot about yourself as well as
how others perceive you.
Assessments are available as a
part of the coaching packages and are completed on
an individual basis.
What are assessments used for?
Most things in life center on some type of
measurement-----money, weight, travel, time, temperature,
stocks. Yet, most of us do not have any measurement strategy.
A proper measurement/assessment strategy can offer amazing
clarity, freedom and direction in organizations as well as
in tracking personal goals.
Assessments let you take a snap shot of where
you are now and support you to decide exactly where you would
like to focus next.
You cannot manage what you do not measure.
Would you like to have a snap shot of your current state
of affairs? Good assessments can provide that for you.

The MBTI is a personality assessment that
can literally support you in solving your own problems because
it will provide an amazing amount of information for you
to learn about yourself! The more you know about yourself
the better your relationships will be with others. The better
your relationships are with others, the better your work
and personal life.
You can receive and complete this assessment
on line and receive your debrief on the telephone.
- The MBTI will give you information about:
1. Where you get your energy
2. How you gather information
3. How you make decisions
4. How you prefer to live your life
- MBTI will give you a much better understanding
of yourself and your actions. As you work with Kim, you
will better understand the people in your life.
- Once you have learned about your MBTI results,
you will stop trying to fit square pegs into round holes,
and will look for opportunities to use your strengths and
seek help with areas where you are not strong.
- As you lead, you will be able to understand
how some people are best suited for certain jobs and others
are not, and will be able to play to the strengths of your
co-workers and your family.
- The MBTI is a well-researched, complex
instrument that is best interpreted by a qualified provider.
Among other things, it gives you information about yourself
along four dichotomies. They are:
1. Extravert or Introvert. Are
you energized or drained by being around and interacting
with people? How can you best meet your needs for active
time involved with others and quiet time for introspection?
Everyone needs both in varying amounts.
2. Sensing or Intuition. Do
you gather information with your five senses and focus
on what is here, now; or do you make intuitive leaps
and focus on the future. You will focus on one or the
other when gathering information, so knowing about
both of them will help you gather more effective information.
3. Thinking or Feeling. Do
you make decisions using facts and logic, or do you
decide based on how it will affect the people involved.
Learning to use both thinking and feeling in decision
making will help you make better decisions.
4. Judging or Perceiving. Oddly
enough, this dichotomy has nothing to do with being
judgmental or perceptive. This could better be called
scheduled or unscheduled. This has to do with how you
like to live in the world. Some people prefer to live
a scheduled, organized life with both short term and
long term plans. Some prefer to be more spontaneous
and flexible. Both types find the other lifestyle stressful
and uncomfortable. When you learn what your preference
is, you will be able to order (or not) your life to
fit your preference better and feel less stress.
When this assessment is completed you will
have an easy outline of where you should focus your energies
to produce maximum results in your relationships.
The MBTI is available as a part
of a coaching package

The Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) examines
the five practices of exemplary leadership in a 360-evaluation
format. You will be evaluated by yourself, your boss, your
co-workers and those you lead in the following areas: Modeling
the Way, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Challenging the Process,
Enabling Others to Act, and Encouraging the Heart.
- Model the Way. The most
important personal quality people look for in you as a
leader is personal credibility. Leaders model the way by
finding their voice and setting an example.
- Inspire a Shared Vision. Can
you imagine an exciting, highly attractive future for your
organization? Leaders are driven by their clear image of
possibility and what their organization could become. In
order to be a leader, you must have followers willing to
move into your vision.
- Challenge the Process. Leaders
venture out. They take risks and seek and accept challenge.
You will never achieve your personal best by preserving
the status quo.
- Enable Others to Act. Leaders
know they can’t do it alone. You must enable others
to act by fostering collaboration and strengthening others.
- Encourage the Heart. Leaders
encourage the heart by recognizing contributions and celebrating
values and victories. You must set high standards and have
high expectations of the people in your organization. When
these standards and expectations are met, you must celebrate
these achievements.
Find out how you measure up on these five
dimensions and receive coaching on how to improve your leadership
practices.
The LPI is available as a part
of a coaching package
and is completed on an individual basis.
